What is Neural Science?
Neuroscience (or neural science, neurobiology) is the scientific study of the nervous system. It is a multidisiplinary brach of biology that combines physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, mathematical modeling and psycohology to understand the fundemental and emergent properties of neurons and neural circuits
The understanding of the biological basis of learning, memory, behavior, perception, and consciousness has been described by Eric Kandel as the “ultimate challenge” of the biological sciences.
Any or all of the sciences, such as neurochemistry and experimental psychology, which deal with the structure or function of the nervous system and brain.
Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops, its structure, and what it does. Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary science that works closely with other disciplines, such as mathematics, lingustics, engineering, computer science, chemistry, philosophy, psychology, and medicine.
Who is Neuroscientists?
Neuroscientists focus on the brain and its impact on behaviour and cognitive functions, or how people think. They also investigate what happens to the nervous system when people have neurological, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
A neuroscientist can specialize in a wide range of fields, from neuroanatomy to neuropsychology. Research in this field can improve our understanding of both the brain and the body, how they work, and the health issues that affect them.
Neuroscientists are involved in a much wider scope of fields today than before. They study the cellular, functional, evolutionary, computational, molecular, cellular and medical aspects of the nervous system.
